Hi, my name is Will DePass
I started working with leather when I was farming crawfish in Gonzalez, Louisiana. In between running traps, I was dabbling in knife making. Eventually the time came when I had to figure out how the carry these knives. I decided to make a leather sheath for my favorite one, and that was all it took. As a result, I have been addicted to leatherwork for the past 10 years. Since that first sheath, I’ve spent all day every day making leather goods or thinking about how to improve them. Every year I study with master leather craftsmen in Japan, and have traveled around the world visiting tanneries and equipment manufacturers. I love leather!
